KIDS
Some of the kids’ favorite things at the Farm … according to the kids!! This page was made by Tryon Kids (with a touch of adult tech support). If your kid has ideas to add to this page, let us know!
Here is a map I made of the farm. The roads are in black, and the trails are in light green. I starred the most fun spots according to kids that live at Tryon! Some places on the map you’ll have to explore on your own! Get your long socks and rainboots on and venture out into nature.
Alice, 13
BARn AREA
The barn area is a great place to play on the swings, play with the chickens, swim in the pool and many more things.
“The swing is fun, just don’t hit the tree!” - Hank, 9
“I LOVE the chickens!” - Millie, 11
MYSTERY ISLAND
?????? ??????? ???????? ??????? ????????
(It’s a mystery!)
FISHING DOCK
This is a fun place we go to swim, fish and hang out on the pier. On lucky days, we see beautiful rainbows.
FROG POND
Frog Pond is a very peaceful and beautiful place where you can catch frogs. Sometimes you can find really small frogs and sometimes really big frogs. Lots of animals cross through here so sometimes you can see footprints of other animals around.
TREE FORT
The Tree Fort is awesome. You can’t come to Tryon without spending some time in the Tree Fort. It has a swing and a pole to slide down and chairs to sit in up top. There’s a bridge connecting a deck area and a mini house. You can see the whole meadow from here.
CAMPFIRE
We spend many nights at the campfire. We make s’mores, we tell ghost stories, and we share snacks. Sometimes we play in the meadow when it is pitch black outside. I’ve made many friends at the campfire. I think you should visit.
PIne GroVe
The Pine Grove is full of interesting animals and beautiful trees to hide under. I’ve spent many afternoons having picnics under the pine trees.
“I like the outside, and I like that I can go anywhere I want without worry.” - Izzy, 10
BAD ASH
Bad Ash is a super fun place to make obstacle courses with the big logs.
“ I like doing different activities. Bike riding is fun!” - Jameson, 9
AND….
The whole idea is you explore this place on your own. Here are some of our favorite spots… now go find them - and your own!
